Paul Bounty — Caloundra. QLD — Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre

Paul Bounty - APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist

Paul graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986

Paul has over 30 years of experience at Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre, starting in 1991.

Paul has an extensive sports physiotherapy resume including:

 

  • Golf – Golfit Australia golf-specific screening for injury prevention and performance.
  • Tennis – Tennis Australia tournament physiotherapist
  • Basketball – Team Physiotherapist for the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.
  • Surf Sports – SLSA surf sports coach.
  • Athletics – Previously the junior development program physiotherapist for Athletics Australia (1988). 

Main areas of clinical interest Include:



  • Tendon Pathologies
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation – especially knees, hips and shoulders


Outside of physio, Paul is a keen surfer, mountain biker & snowboarder, and a pretty average guitarist!

Ellie Hurlock — Caloundra. QLD — Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre

Ellie Hurlock – Physiotherapist

Ellie is a UK-trained Physiotherapist who has been with us at Caloundra Physiotherapy for over ten years.

She combines manual therapy treatments and exercise prescriptions in the management of musculoskeletal issues

 

She has special interests in back pain and is trained in the McKenzie method and dry needling.

 

Ellie is also trained in Women’s Health, particularly incontinence, prolapse and overactive bladder.

 

Ellie also teaches Clinical Mat Pilates and Hydrotherapy

Julian Egan — Caloundra. QLD — Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre

Julian Egan – Physiotherapist

Julian Egan is a Master's Qualified Physiotherapist with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science Human Movement studies, both completed at the University of Queensland.

 

Julian’s main interests in physiotherapy are:

 

  • Shoulders
  • Knees
  • Headache presentations

 

 However, he also enjoys treating all injuries that he may encounter!

 

 Julian is the main Physiotherapist who works in our Maroochydore clinic.

Jake Pizzatti – APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Jake graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and completed his Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through La Trobe University.

Jake believes in using an evidence-based approach and, as such, has completed numerous courses, including:

 

  • Spinal Physio
  • Dry Needling
  • Pilates
  • Running Technique

 

Jake enjoys working with ‘everyday people’ and assisting them in achieving their physical goals through a balance of hands-on and exercise techniques. He is happy to treat any region of the body and has a particular interest in sports-related injuries.

Outside of physiotherapy, Jake keeps an active lifestyle through running, football and surfing. Jake has a good sense of humour and enjoys rock music and spending time with his partner and dog.

Adrian Esposito – Physiotherapist

Adrian has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia (2007). He has since worked as a Physiotherapist in a Private practice setting for the last 15 years.

 

Adrian is experienced in treating various musculoskeletal and movement conditions and would love to extend that care to his patients.

 

Adrian can provide his patients care using the latest evidence-based therapy, focusing on educating them and empowering them to maximise their health outcomes. Adrian is passionate about helping his patients regain their physical capacity and improve their quality of life. 

David Philipps

David Philipps - Titled Sports Physiotherapist

David graduated from the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 1995

with Honours.

David has been working with a variety of clients from elite athletes to local individuals for

the past 31 years. He achieved a Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy at the

LaTrobe University in 2011 and became a Titled Sports Physiotherapist and a member of the

College of Physiotherapy in 2012.

He was the co-founder and director of a medium sized physiotherapy clinic in Melbourne for

23 years, as well as working in the UK for four years.

David specializes in biomechanics particularly of the lower limb, especially the knee and hip.

He uses a hands-on approach to treatment combined with –

  • Exercise
  • Dry needling
  • Strapping
  • Massage
  • Education of individuals on the appropriate strategies to recover from their injuries

David is a keen sailor and fisherman, loves scuba diving, running and cycling. When not

working, he spends his time running along a beach with his Border Collie “Macey”

Garth Thomas - Remedial Massage Therapist


Garth has over 15yrs experience in Remedial Massage with an extensive sports injury background, working with numerous sporting teams in his career. Hungry for further knowledge and development he prefers to work in a Physiotherapy clinical environment as it allows him the opportunity to learn even more about injury management and can therefore offer an enhanced treatment that works in with the physio treatment plans. The common goal being best patient results.
