Pilates, Hydrotherapy & Circuit Classes to Help You Live Stronger for Longer!
Group Classes
Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre is proud to offer small group classes in various disciplines of exercise designed to aid overall well-being and improve movement. Our experienced team has developed Hydrotherapy, Pilates, and Circuit Classes and educated participants on the techniques that can be taken home to help achieve long-term changes. Our classes are an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded people while improving strength, balance and coordination. We strive to make our classes informative yet enjoyable, so everyone can have the chance to take part and enjoy their time at Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a highly beneficial treatment for musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and back pain. It is commonly used in the early stages of reconditioning and recovery, as the buoyancy of the water allows exercises to be carried out that would be difficult on land.
We offer one hydrotherapy class weekly at the Caloundra Aquatic Lifestyle Centre in a purpose-built indoor, heated hydrotherapy facility. Health rebates may apply, and bookings are essential, so get in touch today to find out more.

Physio Exercise Classes: Pilates
What is Pilates?
At Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre, we believe in promoting health and fitness with Pilates. This low-impact exercise helps strengthen the body through control, precision, and awareness. Our experienced physiotherapists will create a program specifically tailored for you to help with your injury recovery or maintain good physical health.
While the primary benefits of Pilates include spinal pain relief, better posture and body awareness, it also promotes flexibility leading to improved relaxation and total well-being. The seven foundational elements of Pilates – breathing, centring, concentration, control, precision, flow and efficiency of movement – form the fundamental principles underlying our treatment plan, helping clients reach their goals with ease and comfort. With Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre's expert guidance in Pilates movements, feel empowered as you take charge of your health and well-being. Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre offers classes with a maximum of 5 people to ensure everyone is being looked after throughout the session.
Pilates
Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre provides an alternate form of exercise with Mat Pilates, a movement-based activity that uses your body weight on the mat to provide resistance against gravity. Mat Pilates improves flexibility and balance, helps build strength, control and endurance in the entire body, and emphasises correct alignment and breathing techniques. Based on a series of simple yet effective bodyweight exercises and movements, Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre’s tailored sessions help individuals reach their recommended daily physical activity levels whilst encouraging a healthy lifestyle to improve their overall well-being.
Reformer Pilates
Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre is proud to offer our clients Reformer Pilates. This specialised piece of equipment uses spring resistance and pulleys to help strengthen and stabilise muscles while correcting specific problem areas without stressing injured areas. The more extensive range of motion that Reformer Pilates allows helps build and tone the muscles. The increased repertoire of exercises adds a wide variety of movements, leading to improved physical ability and agility.
Reformer Pilates at Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre is unique in that it offers a low-impact workout to both strengthen and rehabilitate. Unlike Matwork Pilates, which works on the body's core muscles, Reformer Pilates exercises use a reformer machine with springs that provide resistance and intensity to target more of the peripheral muscles in the arms and legs. This allows clients to build strength while exercising in a horizontal plane, taking pressure off weight-bearing joints like those in your legs-- making Reformer Pilates an ideal form of rehabilitation for anyone who has had surgery or an injury. Join Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre and experience the difference Reformer Pilates makes!
