Brendan Mayers – Physio

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2002, Brendan joined Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre at the beginning of 2003. He strongly believes in leading by example, keeping fit through surfing and involvement with local boardriders and Christian surfers.

Brendan has a wealth of knowledge in physiotherapy, including:

  • Manual therapy techniques for spinal pathology
  • Use of real time ultrasound to facilitate deep muscle joint stabilisers
  • Acupuncture techniques
  • Temporomandibular or jaw joint problems (e.g. clicks, grinding, restricted opening)
  • The often complex psychological implications that pain and disability incur, and the need to educate and ensure that the patient understand these processes through recovery.

Brendan works at both our clinics throughout the week, with the addition of working out in Beerwah on Monday afternoons.

Ellie Douse – Physio

Following an exciting adventure through India and Nepal, Ellie has returned with a wealth of life experience and is keen to resume her professional career.

Ellie manages Caloundra Physiotherapy Centre’s pilates and hydrotherapy programs, and has started up pilates classes at our Landsborough Clinic. She specialises in dealing with chronic lower back pain, perfectly combining her expertise in manual therapy skills and core muscle re-education.

Ellie is available at both our clinics throughout the week, and she works out at Beerwah on Thursday afternoons. When she’s not working, Ellie loves to get out and explore what the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

Julian Egan   – Physio

Julian Egan graduated the University of Queensland with a Masters Degree in 2011, after completing an Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Physiology. He is also vastly experienced in the advanced management of headaches, after completing a course on the subject.

Julian is available at both our Caloundra and Landsborough practices and he loves spending his free time catching waves.

Liam Daniel - Marsh - Physio

Liam graduated from the University of Canberra I'm 2013 with a Masters of Physiotherapy. After graduating Liam spent 18 months working in a public hospital, and feels his time there in acute care, outpatients and the emergency department have given him a well rounded and thorough approach to patient care. Liam moved to the Sunshine Coast with his fiancé Natalie in early 2015 to enjoy the great lifestyle the coast has to offer. Liam enjoys providing general musculoskeletal physiotherapy to people from all walks of life, and has a particular clinical interest in the complexities of chronic or persistent pain. In the words of louis Gifford "Physiotherapy is about the return of thoughtless, fearless movement" and Liam strives to help all of his patients reach this goal.
Away from work he'll be dropping local jaws with his surfing skills (most can't believe its possible to be that bad), exploring the coast and hinterland with his fiancé or winning michelin stars for his home cooking.
